A bit about me...

A bit about me...

Hi all! My name is Jade Williams & as of Dec 2017 I am the owner of Scruff Candy. I thought I'd take some time to share a little about myself so you can get to know the lady behind the business. I'm 25 years old & a mum of 2 cheeky monkeys. Ruby is 3.5 years old & Oliver is 6 months old. My partner is Wayne & we're currently engaged to be married in a couple months (eek so exciting but also terrifying! Aint no full-time hobby

My mother, bless her, is Dean Ray obsessed. We all got his album for Christmas and again for our birthdays. She loved him so much that she wanted to show her strong support to his budding music career by purchasing every copy of his CD that she could get her hands on. She would also share every post on Facebook that featured him. From YouTube clips, to photos and songs. She was undeniably his number one fan (or his number two fan... but that's another story.) And I think there is some chemical reaction that happens at a first...

A sister can be your lifelong best friend. A sister can be the girls you went to school with. A sister can be an old work colleague. A sister can be a neighbour. A sister can be someone from your netball team. Lean on your sisters. How often do you hear people judging mothers? All too often I think the answer is. I am guilty of this myself. But I want you to leave that judgement at the door and even give it a swift kick up the backside. Because let me tell you she is already beating herself up...

Let's skip the but...

Ahhh... What good a few days alone does for the mind, heart and soul. I was so emotionally, mentally and physically warn out that a little break away did me wonders. Most people won't admit it these days, as being busy seems to be glorified, but sometimes life just gets so darn hard and its important to stop and reflect. I found that as soon as my mind was cleared I was able to really think again. Logically and creatively. I even filled an entire journal with ideas, inspirations and just everything that had been brewing in my mind that...
